Hi everyone, some exciting news: this Fall, I’ll be joining Northern Illinois University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment! ⛈️🌀

At NIU, I’ll be building a research group focused on tropical weather prediction and dynamics, as well as teaching courses in atmospheric science. I am SO incredibly excited for this opportunity, as it allows me to continue my lifelong passion for atmospheric science, teaching, and student mentorship!

I’m incredibly grateful to the colleagues and mentors I have had at Texas A&M, University of Miami, and NCAR, as well as for the support of my close family and friends.

I will be accepting graduate students starting in the Spring of 2027, so be on the lookout for more information and a formal annoucement of opportunities this Fall!
